Originally trained in synthetic organic chemistry, Dr Schober joined Peptech in 1986 to manage the design and manufacture of peptides for the veterinary and human pharmaceutical groups. He was appointed to the position of Manager, Science and marketing for Peptech Animal Health in 1995, being responsible for all aspects of Ovuplant® from manufacture to sales, as well as maintaining heavy involvement in the company's controlled release technologies.
Dr Schober was appointed to the position of General Manager, Peptech Animal Health in April 2005.
