Ovuplant^®

Ovuplant^® has significantly improved horse breeding management by ensuring that within 48 hours of implantation the mare has a very high likelihood of ovulation. The breeder can precisely time when to introduce the stallion to best achieve fertilisation in thoroughbreds, significantly reducing the cost and time associated with successful breeding.

The product is now also being used successfully in other breeds, in particular when artificial insemination is carried out with frozen or chilled semen and for embryo transfer. In both these circumstances fertility is lower than normal due to reduced sperm numbers and motility - the requirement for precise timing of ovulation is therefore critical for a successful conception.
